MVT Shine News 53

Grandma Pin, a widow filled with love and resilience for the Lord, lives in a modest house built by the Thai Red Cross Society on temporary land.

Shortly after her husband passed away, her children faced marital issues and divorced. Two young grandchildren were left in her care as their parents moved away, leaving Grandma Pin to take on the role of both mother and grandmother. What was once a home sufficient for one person became a shelter for three lives.

Last year, a fierce storm tore off parts of the roof and walls, leaving the already fragile house barely inhabitable. But through God’s love and the kindness of others, MVT stepped in to repair the house, restoring safety and warmth for Grandma Pin and her grandchildren.

However, another pressing issue loomed over them: The need to sleep on a cold concrete floor without protection from dangerous creatures, snakes, centipedes, and insects frequently entered the home, causing injuries and filling their lives with fear.

…But now, everything has changed for the good…

On this day of celebrating the love of Jesus Christ, Grandma Pin and her grandchildren received gifts beyond words…

Beds, mattresses, pillows, and blankets were given to them. These simple items not only brought comfort but also instilled a sense of safety and hope in their lives.

Seeing Grandma Pin’s smile, filled with tears of gratitude, was a profound reminder that this was not just a Christmas gift. It was a testament to God’s grace and an expression of love passed from one heart to many others.

Though Grandma Pin and her grandchildren still face challenges in life, from now on they know they are not walking alone. God will always be with them. The love from church brethren and compassionate people remains a source of encouragement and hope with every step taken.

This Christmas is more than a celebration of Jesus’ birth; it is a clear reminder that God cares for and transforms lives through those who reach out in love to Him.

Two seekers who found Truth!…

We rejoice as we enter this new year 2025. Two young people in this church have opened their hearts to Jesus.

At MV Ban Muang Church, the atmosphere was filled with joy and the love of God. Church members, both young and old, gathered together to worship and listen to the Word of God.

This day was particularly special when a young boy, Wichukorn and a young lady, Nuchjiya, two seekers of truth in life, made the most significant decision of their lives. They proclaimed their faith in Jesus Christ and welcomed Him as their personal Saviour. Hallelujah!

Please continue to pray that these precious souls will grow in their love for the Lord and walk in obedience to Him. Thank you.

Every year Thailand celebrates Children’s Day on January 11th.
Praise God…MVT blessed the children and families with games, food, and drinks on this special day. We also had the opportunity to distribute tracts and Bible stories in Patong.
